KJ Knies

Bass | Business Economics, '16 | Seattle, WA

What it is like listening to KJ's husky, man-tastic bass notes? Well let's just say that I hope your head brought a brain jacket, cause' your mind is about to be blown. A man jewlers everywhere are calling "a gem," KJ Knies is unconditionally enthused to be a part of Bruin Harmony in his freshman year. Right out of Seattle, Washington, KJ loves Starbucks, Microsoft, rain, and reruns of the hit series "Frasier" (citations needed). When not supporting his favorite women's basketball team, the Seattle Storm, KJ enjoys theater, hanging with his friends, and most of all, singing. KJ can't wait to see what his future in THE Bruin Harmony holds!

Jackson Hinden

Baritone | Theater, '15 | New York, New York

Not to be confused with that "other" Jackson, Jackson Hinden is supremely stoked to join Bruin Harmony in his sophomore year. All the way from New York, New York, this crafty theater major assures us that the Big Apple has even better burgers than In-N-Out. Whatever. Based entirely on what I know about his facebook profile, Jackson also enjoys Blue Moon, the Beach Boys, and Pizza. Jackson lives his life on the edge and, as a Zee Bee Tea, he is at least twice as likely as the average student to fall off the edge of treehouse. All joking aside, Jackson is happy and honored to be part of such a talented group. He's excited for the future, and can't wait to see you at the next Bruin Harmony performance!

Ron Arbel

Vocal Percussion / Baritone | Class of 2014 | Sunnyvale, CA

Ron Arbel is a third year transfer from NorCal, and is accordingly hella cool. Tall, dark, and arguably handsome, Ron stands ready to box-your-beats at a moment's notice. When asked what he's most excited about, Ron answered, "Makin' 'dem 'thur boots and cats 'sounds in my mouth drum!" In all seriousness, Ron is excited for the year ahead, and is absolutely honored to be part of Bruin Harmony. He looks forward to learning more about music, performing around campus, and swiping Papa Jackson into Bruin Cafe whenever he's hungry.

Lucas Cabantac

Tenor 1 | Neurosciene, '15 | Bellflower, CA

Lucas is a second year Neuroscience major, hailing all the way from the cultural epicenter of Bellflower, California. Historians report that Lucas began singing at the tender age of zero, when he blossomed out of his beloved mother's womb. Since then, Lucas has learned to play the piano, guitar and trumpet. Despite these talents, he still loves singing the most (especially when it involves seranading at his filipino family's karaoke parties). An avid musician, Lucas is also part of the UCLA University Chorus, Chorale, and Chamber singers. Nevertheless, that's not enough to fill the musical void in his big, sciency, south-campus heart. Until now, something was still missing ... something like ... a cappella! Enter Bruin Harmony, stage left. A new member this year, Lucas knows that Bruin Harmony will finaly satiate his passion for music, a passion he knows will continue into medical school and beyond. He cannot wait for the many more moments to come with Bruin Harmony and is more than overjoyed to be part of this legacy!

Max Hamiliton

President
Tenor 2 | Musical Theater, '13 | Manhattan Beach, CA

Maxwell Hamilton is a fourth year Theater major at UCLA. From Manhattan Beach, California, he has been singing ever since he was in elementary school. He joined the group at the end of his freshman year after witnessing the excitement of Bruin Harmony performing in 2010 at UCLA's annual talent show, Spring Sing. Ever since, he has participated on the groups first released album, been in charge of the group's publicity and certainly looks forward to future projects and shows with the boys.

Jackson McNeill

Business Manager
Essential Baritone/VP | UCLA Law School, '14 | Redding, CA

Jackson McNeill, a spry, second year law student, is absolutely thrilled to be part of Bruin Harmony… again! Yes, before coming to law school (and long before Café 1919, Gardenia Dorms, and all this Dyson Airblade HOO-HA), Jackson was a proud baritone in Bruin Harmony. While an undergraduate, Jackson also enjoyed performing in Spring Sing Company, bro-ing out in Phi Kappa Psi (RIP), and working summers at UCLA Bruin Woods. Now, when not deciphering legal Latin terms (which he’s convinced are merely Harry Potter spells), Jackson fills the big musical hole in his heart performing with B-Harm. Indeed, Jackson is eminently honored to sing with such a talented group, and excited to see what the future brings.

Andrew Olsen

Music Director
Bass | Anthropology, '13 | Lexington, MA

Andrew Olsen is a fourth year student at UCLA studying Anthropology. Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, he never fails to point out if something (like baseball or burritos) is done better in Boston. Andrew has played viola since fourth grade and sung his entire life, and he is currently a member of UCLA's Philharmonia, Camarades, Chorale, and Chamber Singers. Since joining Bruin Harmony as a freshman, the group has become Andrew's family and home away from home. He looks forward to making music and making merry with Bruin Harmony for several more great years to come.

Coleton Schmitto

Tenor 1 | Communications '14 | Union City, CA

Coleton Schmitto is what scholars call "a diamond in the rough." As a third year communications major, Coleton is a pretty good at communicating. Coleton is madly stoked to be a part of Bruin Harmony in his junior year. Besides his penchant for theater and singing, Coleton is also a fan of puppies (as evidenced by his picture), and arguably better at beer pong than Jackson.

Alex Vergel

Baritone | Theater, '14 | Tokyo, Japan

Alex Vergel is a third year theater major at UCLA. He hails from the small town of Tokyo, Japan, and while he argues that he likes Japanese food better than American food (whatever that is), his slow but consistent weight gain suggests otherwise. Outside of Bruin Harmony, he is a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, works as a campus tour guide, and is a counselor a UCLA's alumni family camp, Bruin Woods. He is excited to be back and knows he will have an awesome year with the group.

Jon Zhao

Baritone | MCDB, '15 | Irvine, CA

Jonathan Zhao is a bodacious second year Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he moved to California at the delicate age of one. Jon is thrilled to be a Bruin and even more thrilled to be a part of Bruin Harmony! After a mere two months, the guys have inspired him through their endless energy and have opened his eyes to musical possibilities and life philosophies he hadn’t known existed. This group has thus far defined Jon’s time at UCLA—he has loved every moment of it so far, and anticipates even more unforgettable times in the future.

Adam Cropper

Tenor 2 | Theater, '15 | Woodside, CA

Adam is thrilled to be a part of Bruin Harmony in his second year at UCLA. He grew up playing piano but recently quit his 3-day streak of learning guitar. Bruin Harmony has taken a rightful place as his immediate family, just surpassing his blood relatives. He enjoys sports and is a theater major, both of which he picked up at a young age. Although he has a deeply rooted experience in shower singing medleys of The Biebs (Bieber), Adam looks forward to melting some hearts publicly. He wants to thank his fellow Bruin Harmony brothers for giving him the opportunity to sing with them. Much Love.
