Ben Davies

President
Tenor 1 | Creative Writing, '12 | Lake Arrowhead, CA

Ben Davies is a fourth year English major and has been a member of Bruin Harmony since the spring quarter of his freshman year. While Bruin Harmony is Ben's primary extracurricular activity, he also works as a counselor at Bruin Woods, is a member of the UCLA Rugby team, and a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He is originally from England, but hopped across the pond when he was thirteen and attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, with former Bruin Harmony member, Anh Nguyen. However, he currently resides in beautiful Lake Arrowhead, CA. Ben has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the group over the years, but he knows that many more amazing experiences await him in this final, climactic year.

Andrew Olsen

Music Director
Bass | Anthropology, '13 | Lexington, MA

Andrew Olsen is a third year student at UCLA studying Anthropology. Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, he never fails to point out if something (like baseball or burritos) is done better in Boston. Andrew has played viola since fourth grade and sung his entire life, and he is currently a member of UCLA's Philharmonia, Camarades, Chorale, and Chamber Singers. Since joining Bruin Harmony as a freshman, the group has become Andrew's family and home away from home. He looks forward to making music and making merry with Bruin Harmony for several more great years to come.

David Crane

Business Manager
Baritone | Musical Theater, '12 | Berkeley, CA

David Crane is a fourth year Theater major at UCLA hailing from Berkeley, California. He never hesitates to remind the group that many things (like baseball and burritos) are done better in Northern California. Outside of Bruin Harmony, he is a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, works as a campus tour guide, and is a counselor a UCLA's alumni family camp, Bruin Woods. Bruin Harmony is one of the greatest experiences of his young life, and he's looking forward to enjoying his remaining time in the group.

Peter Jackson

Baritone | Psychology, '11 | Costa Mesa, CA

Peter is a fourth year Psychology major at UCLA.  Born and raised in Costa Mesa, CA, he has been a singer all his life.  Whether it be at his piano, performing in a high school musical, or bringing down the house with a Cher power ballad at a dingy karaoke bar downtown, Peaches has never had a difficult time making his voice heard. While he has been heavily involved in research, student leadership, and community service, Bruin Harmony will remain the highlight of his undergraduate experience. PJ will never forget his BH brotherhood, the Bruin Woods retreat, the endless shenanigans, or the hard work and dedication of a group of hot and talented young men committed to making good music.

Ryan Chapin

Tenor 2 | College and Political Science, '12 | San Diego, CA

Ryan Chapin is a fourth year double major in College and Polictical Science. He is infamous for being a fratstar, who claims he is almost as good at singing as he is at fratting. Sig Chi, so chill, bro.

Max Hamilton

Tenor 2 | Musical Theater, '13 | Manhattan Beach, CA

Maxwell Hamilton is a third year Theater major at UCLA. From Manhattan Beach, California, he has been singing ever since he was in elementary school. He joined the group at the end of his freshman year after witnessing the excitement of Bruin Harmony performing in 2010 at UCLA's annual talent show, Spring Sing. Ever since, he has participated on the groups first released album, been in charge of the group's publicity and certainly looks forward to future projects and shows with the boys.

Alex Vergel

Baritone | Theater, '14 | Tokyo, Japan

Alex Vergel is a second year theater major at UCLA. He hails from the small town of Tokyo, Japan, and while he argues that he likes Japanese food better than American food (whatever that is), his slow but consistent weight gain suggests otherwise. Outside of Bruin Harmony, he is a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, works as a campus tour guide, and is a counselor a UCLA's alumni family camp, Bruin Woods. He is excited to be back and knows he will have an awesome year with the group.

Ross Gordon

Tenor 2 | Environmental Science, '14 | Santa Monica, CA

Ross Gordon is a second year environmental science major. Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Ross has found that Bruin Harmony has filled the role of his distant family 5 miles west of UCLA. Ross' mom once taught him, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." He's usually quite good at that, although sometimes with the guys, he says it's just too easy to slip. Despite his many facial expressions and remarks, Ross loves a cappella, Bruin Harmony, and his new life as a Bruin. The group has created a place for Ross at UCLA, and there is really nothing better than this fun group of guys.

Brandon Bakhshi

Tenor 2 | Undeclared, '14 | Calabasas, CA

Brandon Bakhshi is a second year student from Calabasas, California, and is still exploring the many opportunities that UCLA offers. Having been a part of his high school a cappella group, Unstrumental, at Calabasas High School, Brandon knew he wanted a cappella to be a part of his life right when he got to UCLA and that Bruin Harmony would be the perfect fit for him! He is grateful to be a part of this talented and charismatic group of guys, and is looking forward to singing and spending time with them in the near future.

Dan Moyer

Bass | Math, '14 | San Diego, CA

Dan Moyer is second year math major from San Diego, CA. Not originally a vocal musician, he has previously played French Horn with the UCLA Marching Band, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, and several other local instrumental groups. When not pursuing musical activities, he can generally be found at a variety of campus clubs, the library (sans cellphone), or enjoying a burrito from a local SoCal vendor. He looks forward to several excellent years making music with the group.

Jeff Fichtner

Tenor 1 | Vocal Performance, '14 | Newport Beach, CA

Jeff Fichtner is a second year vocal performance student in UCLA’s School of Arts and Architecture and joined Bruin Harmony in the spring quarter of his freshman year.  Despite the heavy time constraints of Opera UCLA, Jeff still manages to partake in almost every Bruin Harmony performance as well as remain a loyal brother in the California Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.  A Newport Beach resident, Jeff feels no obligation to point out if something (like the Pacific Ocean or weather) is better along the Newport Coast.  He loves his new place in the group, and looks forward to bringing the hype in any way he can over the next three years.

Jackson McNeil

Baritone/Vocal Percussion | UCLA Law School, '14 | Redding, CA

Jackson McNeill, a spry, first year law student, is absolutely thrilled to be part of Bruin Harmony… again! Yes, before coming to law school (and long before Café 1919, the peace-sign guy, and all this Dyson Airblade HOO-HA), Jackson was a proud baritone in Bruin Harmony. While an undergraduate, Jackson also enjoyed performing in Spring Sing Company, hanging out with the brothers of Phi Kappa Psi (RIP), and working summers at UCLA Bruin Woods. Now, when not deciphering legal Latin terms (which he’s convinced are merely Harry Potter spells), Jackson fills the big musical hole in his heart performing with B-Harm. Indeed, Jackson is eminently honored to sing with such a talented group, and excited to see what the future brings.

Moonsoo Jo

Vocal Percussion/Bass | Mechanical Engineering, '15 | Irvine, CA

Moonsoo was born in Daegu, South Korea. He played piano for a year until he moved to Irvine, where he continued developing his musical abilities through clarinet. Throughout his younger years, he played in classical and jazz orchestras but also developed interests in many different genres, starting with Hip Hop to Trance, Jazz, etc. He started beatboxing by mixing his varied musical background with his friends’ beatboxing interests. Although he started the activity just for kicks, he has been more serious about it in his recent years, under the alias "Beat Rhino". In order to broaden both his musical and beatboxing perspectives, Moonsoo joined Bruin Harmony in Fall, ’11. He enjoys the rehearsals and performances, and the brotherhood keeps him going, even when studying becomes a tad difficult. His future goal is to win the American Beatboxing Championship and stay true to Bruin Harmony’s crazy personality and perfection of music.

Jon Zhao

Baritone | MCDB, '15 | Irvine, CA

Jonathan Zhao is a first year Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he moved to California at the delicate age of one. Jon is thrilled to be a Bruin and even more thrilled to be a part of Bruin Harmony! After a mere two months, the guys have inspired him through their endless energy and have opened his eyes to musical possibilities and life philosophies he hadn’t known existed. This group has thus far defined Jon’s time at UCLA—he has loved every moment of it so far, and anticipates even more unforgettable times in the future.

Adam Cropper

Tenor 2 | Theater, '15 | Woodside, CA

Adam is thrilled to be a part of Bruin Harmony his first year at UCLA. He grew up playing piano but recently quit his 3-day streak of learning guitar. Bruin Harmony has taken a rightful place as his immediate family, just surpassing his blood relatives. He enjoys sports and is a theater major, both of which he picked up at a young age. Although he has a deeply rooted experience in shower singing medleys of The Biebs (Bieber), Adam looks forward to melting some hearts publicly. He wants to thank his fellow Bruin Harmony brothers for giving him the opportunity to sing with them. Much Love.
